Triangle Club Service Opportunities |
|
Our Club is governed by our own nine person elected Board of Directors who, with the help of many volunteers, put on all our activities, look after membership and finances, and oversee our management and staff. If you'd like to help around your club you can participate in any of the committees listed below. You may also contact the Club by sending an email with any service opportunity question you may have. You can have a positive impact in the club and in the recovery of your fellow members. We look forward to seeing you.
Membership Committee
The Membership Committee's mission is to promote the Triangle Club and increase its membership. To this end, we would like to attract as many individuals as possible to join the club and use their talents and energies in service of the GLBT recovering community. The Membership Committee is responsible for the following:
- Promoting membership and renewals in the Triangle Club through membership drives and other means.
- Recommending ways to acknowledge new members and encourage participation in the Triangle Club activities.
- Reviewing all matters pertaining to membership and report its activities to the Triangle Club Board of Directors.
Please contact Joe at the Triangle Club for information about joining this committee. For information about becoming a member of the Triangle Club please see our section on membership.
Community Involvement Committee
The Community Involvement Committee needs volunteers to promote involvement in the Triangle Club and encourage the growth of an overall sense of community. Newcomer involvement activties are a high priority. Some of the previous projects the Committee was involved with included monthly planning of Clubhouse:Openhouse, hosting Game Night, and sponsoring bridge lessons. Your ideas, suggestions and volunteer efforts are more than welcomed. Are there any party promoters, food specialists, drivers, artists, social butterflies, or "idea people" out there who can lend a hand? Give us a hand if you are, and if you're not, give us a hand too!
Physical Space Committee
This committee assists with the design and development of the Club's physical space. They discuss and recommend items to the Board such as general repairs, painting, and the look and feel of the meeting rooms. You can help out by giving suggestions and ideas on how to make the Triangle Club a warm comfortable place for the recovering community.
