The Triangle Club … made by us and for us. Hundreds of people in recovery have chosen to pass through the door at 2030 P Street every week, and if you were to go all the way back to 1990 when we first opened that door, the numbers would reach into the hundreds of thousands. The Club was setup to derive a third of its funds from meeting rents, a third from membership, and a third from contributions. Help us do this. Without your ongoing support and contributions, we could not be here for you. If you are not a member, or your membership has expired, we encourage you to join or renew today. There are two ways you can contribute to the Triangle Club. One is to become a member and the second is to make a donation.
- Claim Your Club… Your membership supports the clubhouse and helps to provide a clean, safe environment for yourself, your friends, and newcomers to recovery. Your membership ensures that the clubhouse is a constant fixture on P Street for the newcomer whose “wreckage of the past” may not enable him or her to contribute financially.
- Claim Your Club…Your dues help pay the electricity, trash removal, cleaning, toilet paper, paper towels, maintenance, utilities, insurance, and supplies. With all of the hundreds of recovering people who come through the doors of the clubhouse, your financial support helps pay for the practical upkeep of the space.
- Claim Your Club…As a Triangle Club member, you have a voice on club direction and policy. You can elect members to the Board of Directors and vote on resolutions. You may participate in membership meetings which may be called in accordance with the Bylaws.
- Claim Your Club…You play an important part in your community. The Triangle Club can continue to be there for newcomers who may not be able to contribute. Membership helps us to keep the door open for the next new recovering member. Hopefully they, like us, will find here a safe haven with other members of the recovery community.
Contributions to the Triangle Club, a tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, are deductible for computing income and estate taxes.
Membership in the Triangle Club is open to anyone who is a member of a 12-step program and who is self-identified with the recovering GLBT community of the Washington DC metropolitan area. Membership is $100 per year or $10/month (online only) with automatic credit card debiting. There are three ways to join or renew:
- Join Online through our secure server powered by Entango Corporation. Using this option will take you to our customized membership page. This page uses the newest secure server technology to guarantee that credit card processing is safe, secure and private. Please review our privacy policy if you have any questions.
- Download the Triangle Club Membership form. Then fill it out, print it and bring it to the Club with your check or money order or mail it to Triangle Club, P.O. Box 65458, Washington DC 20035.
- In Person. Stop by the Club and fill out the membership form there. You may give the form along with your check or money order to one of the board members or the Manager.
All donations are most appreciated. No donation is too small, because every dollar helps. Donations to the Triangle Club are open to anyone who is a member of a 12-step program and who is self-identified with the recovering GLBT community of the Washington DC metropolitan area.
